The Principal Edinburgh, Scotland
Considering we haven’t quite mastered the art of time travel, it’s always an incredible experience to time travel by visiting destinations that make one feel as if you’ve been transported to a different century. Edinburgh has a magical way of doing exactly that. I had the opportunity to spend a few days at The Principal Edinburgh just last month and I can’t begin to say enough nice things about this hotel and the lovely staff.

The Scottish people make up one of the most welcoming cultures I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Add a wonderful knack for hospitality on top of that and you’ll feel right at home. Every employee at The Principal became more of a friend than a host(ess).
This, simply is enough for me to generally enjoy my time at a hotel. However, every other aspect of my stay was excellent as well. The food was fantastic, the rooms were modern and luxurious. The building and the surrounding area of town was both historic and vibrant. The whole experience was one worth recommending highly.
Obviously, as you all know travel blogs work in a way where reviews are often traded for complimentary nights of accommodation. However, I can assure you that Couple’s Coordinates will never post a positive review for a hotel or brand that we did not, ourselves, have a positive experience with. We have collaborated with hotels before and chosen to either critique them openly or simply provide a very generic overview of the hotel if the experience was not exemplary.
So, as I can assure you, the experience at The Principal Edinburgh was exactly that; exemplary. Without reservation, I implore you to book a reservation with The Principal, as I firmly believe they are the best hotel in Edinburgh.
