Hi! We’re Jonathan Smith and Linda Little, the couple behind Couple’s Coordinates.

We believe some of life’s best memories begin with a simple question:
Where should we go next?
For us, travel is about much more than collecting passport stamps or checking famous landmarks off a list. It is about stepping away from familiar routines, experiencing something new together, and returning home with stories that belong to both of us.
A trip does not need to be extravagant to feel meaningful. Sometimes it is a long-awaited journey across the world. Sometimes it is a weekend road trip, a quiet cabin, a coastal town, or an afternoon spent getting pleasantly lost in an unfamiliar neighborhood.
What matters is the experience—and the person beside you.
Our Story
Like many couples, we discovered that we do not always travel in exactly the same way.
One of us may want to research every detail before leaving home, while the other is more willing to follow an interesting street just to see where it leads. One may be thinking about flight times and hotel locations while the other is already searching for the best local restaurant.
Over time, we learned that these differences do not have to make traveling together more difficult. They can make a trip better.
Planning together has taught us how to compromise, communicate, laugh when plans change, and make room for the experiences that matter to each of us. The occasional wrong turn has led to an unexpected view. A rainy afternoon has become an excuse to find a cozy café. A carefully prepared itinerary has sometimes been improved by throwing part of it away.
Those moments inspired Couple’s Coordinates.
We wanted to create a place where couples could find both the inspiration to travel and the practical information needed to make a trip happen.
Why “Couple’s Coordinates”?
Coordinates identify a location, but to us, the name means something more.
Every couple has its own coordinates: the places they have visited, the experiences that have shaped them, and the destinations they still dream about discovering together.
The name also reflects the reality of planning a trip for two. Couples often need to coordinate schedules, budgets, interests, travel styles, and expectations before they can start packing.
Our goal is to make that process easier.
Couple’s Coordinates helps you decide where to go, where to stay, what to do, and how to create a trip that both partners can enjoy.
What You’ll Find Here
We created this site for couples planning all kinds of trips, from affordable weekend escapes to once-in-a-lifetime honeymoons.

We aim to balance inspiration with useful details. Beautiful photographs may encourage you to visit a destination, but they do not tell you which neighborhood to stay in, how many days you need, what the trip might cost, or whether the experience is right for you as a couple.
Those are the questions we want our guides to answer.
Travel That Fits Your Relationship
There is no single correct way to travel as a couple.
Some couples want secluded beaches and quiet dinners. Others would rather hike a challenging trail, explore a busy city, attend a festival, or take a road trip without planning every stop.
You may prefer boutique hotels, all-inclusive resorts, vacation rentals, campgrounds, or a mixture of everything. Your ideal trip might last two weeks—or only two nights.
Couple’s Coordinates is not about promoting one version of romance. It is about helping you find experiences that feel right for your relationship, interests, schedule, and budget.
We also understand that a memorable trip does not have to be perfect. Flights get delayed. Weather changes. Restaurants close. Couples occasionally disagree.
Good travel planning cannot prevent every problem, but it can reduce unnecessary stress and leave more room for enjoying the journey.
How We Approach Our Guides
We want our recommendations to be useful, honest, and easy to follow.
When creating a guide, we focus on the details couples actually need, including location, timing, transportation, atmosphere, approximate costs, and the type of traveler an experience may suit.
We clearly distinguish personal opinions from confirmed information and encourage readers to verify changing details—such as admission prices, transportation schedules, entry requirements, and hotel policies—with official sources before booking.
When an article contains an affiliate relationship or sponsored element, we will disclose it clearly. A commercial relationship will never turn an unsuitable destination, hotel, or product into a recommendation.
Your time together is valuable, and we want our content to respect it.
